Upcoming Events for the Dartmouth First Church

Sunday, November 27th, 6:00PM: "A Hanging of The Greens"; This interactive family service has become the highlight of our fall activities as we celebrate the beginning of the Advent Season. From the portals of Glory to a lowly manger in Bethlehem town, Oh, what a wonderful story! We welcome Dr. and Mrs. Clair MacMillan once again as our special guests. Dr. MacMillan serves as our Canada Atlantic District Superintendent and also as the National Director of the Church of the Nazarene in Canada.  A time of fellowship will follow the service with seasonal sweets and treats as well as a cup of hot apple cider. Everyone is welcome, so why not join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Christmas Eve, 6:00pm; Please join us for the most beautiful service of the year! Traditional carols and special music will be featured as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus christ. A special highlight comes at the end of the service when we gather around the sanctuary and sing "Silent Night" by candlelight!

Christmas Day, 11:00AM; Christmas Day Service. What a wonderful way to worship the King of Kings and The Lord of Lords on the day we traditionally recognize as the anniversary of His birth. (There will be no evening service on Christmas Day.)

New Years Day, 11:00AM; New Year's Day in the House of God: Such a great way to celebrate the end of 2011 with all of the tumult, trial and struggle and the beginning of 2012 filled with promise of new beginnings and hope for the future! A special feature of this service comes as we celebrate the Lord's Supper together. What a way to begin a new year together. Why not make a New Year's resolution to start attending church on a regular basis, and see what God has in store for you! God has great plans for you! He loves you....and we do too! (There will be no evening service on New Year's Day.)

Coming this winter!!!!! A reprise showing of THEGRACECARD, Starring Louis Gossett Jr., Michael Joiner and Michael Higgenbottom. Witness the power of forgiveness! "Depicts the power of grace and forgiveness to bring about healing and reconciliation." - Dr. Jesse C. Middendorf, General Superintendent, Church of the Nazarene.
